He’s Just Not That Into Me
Let me tell you a quick story about my brush with rejection.
Recently I was given charge of advertising on the net for new applicants to my guild. I recently came across WoWHeadHunter from one of the Podcasts I follow. I think it was the Rawrcast but that’s really not important to the story.
I surfed the site for a while and decided I wanted to put up an ad for Salus Novus, so I tried to find a Sign Up or Register button and me, being a complete idiot could not see the very obvious one on the site’s homepage. I then tried clicking a random link on the list to apply to a guild and it led to a sign up page. I was very happy until I reached the end of the signup process that told me I successfully applied. I was confused but didn’t think too much of it. I put up the guild’s ad and went along with my day.
Fast forward to yesterday, I get an email:
Matticus has rejected your application to Conquest.
Elemental shaman positions have been filled! Sorry
Good luck!
Now for those who don’t read blogs usually, or have lived on mars for the past while. Matticus is a fellow blogger, and quite a friendly guy at that. I knew he was a guild leader or officer or something, but sheer chance had me randomly click on HIS ad. I had to stir up fake drama on this.
I went into the Blog Azeroth chat room and basically pretended to get all offended over the application I accidentally made to his guild, but got REJECTED from.
In the end after I begged and pleaded him to let me into the guild I had no interest in joining anyway I had to know why. It wasn’t because he didn’t like me or because I was far too attractive for him to stay focused on raiding…
He said he’s just not that into me
